Proxy Setup

Right. The website’s been down for a while. I’ve been moving my nginx server over to SWAG.

Before I even knew that you could bypass nginx crashing without all the upstream servers up, it has been becoming a mess to maintain. May as well as switch.

Something like Traefik would have been a better option, but they usually base their routing on subdomains only;

I’d hate to talk bad about the DNS service I’m using (it’s in the footer, btw), But they have 5-subdomains limit and I cannot use wildcards.

DuckDNS has one by default but… I like my new domain (oh yeah right, it’s soda.zsh.jp now.), so I couldn’t let it go. lol

Anyways, I feel like subfolders-based routing is even worse (i.e. https://soda.zsh.jp/board). Not to mention not all of apps I’m hosting supports that.

Now, SWAG is still mostly just nginx, and I’m still trying to figure out how everything works. For example, copy.soda.zsh.jp sometimes go to the webpage or the copyparty… No idea how that happens. maybe the default_server part?

I feel like I’m really not suited for blogging kind of stuff lol. I like talking to friends more.

sodasite
